Shoplifter Records
Musician, Composer, Producer
I started out playing piano and organ in rock bands (in Seattle) when I was 13. A good friend showed me examples of how to record on a 4-track tape recorder, and soon I was making my own songs with analog synthesizers, echoes, phase-shifter, distorted electric guitars and my own mad poetry. During the "grunge revolution" I was in a very successful and well loved band called Sky Cries Mary. Moved to New York in 1998 and became quite accidentally a record producer/engineer for local bands. (and some famous artists like Ian Brown!) 2 years later I met and recorded The Strokes for their debut EP, and first 2 albums. I also had the great fortune to work with Regina Spektor on her amazing album Soviet Kitsch.  Now I live in Berlin, produce bands and travel around working in MUSIC.
