Opening Keynote: Kepler Concordia and the Future of Music
What if you could answer a 400-year-old burning scientific question just by playing a musical instrument? What if playing this instrument helped launch a new economy of music and art in society? Kelly Snook will discuss her new project, Concordia, which allows you to play solar systems like musical instruments. You are immersed in the geometric world of Johannes Kepler, flying  through space as you explore and play the Music of the Spheres. We are entering into a new era of music as a tool for scientific exploration and discovery, which is a return to the past when music was part of the Quadrivium.

Object-Based Audio Futures
Imagine media that’s carefully tailored for your circumstances, context, preferences and devices. Or media that understands your listening habits, and can flex the audio to fit. These would be media experiences that reflect the things you love, or challenge you - and they're all possibilities with object-based media.

The BBC's Research and Development "Senior Firestarter", Ian Forrester, will talk about his work in this cutting-edge space, explaining what's been done so far, and describe an exciting future of adaptive audio for all.
